Okay, so for me, school starts tomorrow - it’s bittersweet for sure because I’ve literally had the best summer - God has done the most amazing things in my life and in my family, He’s taken me to heights with Him that I never even dreamed of attaining, I’ve met the most amazing people, I’ve been challenged and blessed in so many ways and I’ve had the chance to be a blessing to others, I’ve slept in and stayed out late and eaten way too much and laughed like a crazy person - in a nutshell, I’m blessed. But see, life gets weird when we have to go back to school and be in that mundane environment all over again and I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel too extraordinary in school, I don’t feel like a world-changer, I don’t feel like someone who’s a little more than the ordinary. We have all these rules before us, we’ve got tests being thrown our way from every corner, and we have the weight of people’s expectations put on us. But guys, can I encourage you a little? Yup? Okie Doke. You’re not ordinary. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is working, did you get that? It’s working, moving, it’s a tangible force in your life but you’ve got to stay plugged into God. You have to. You have to make your Bible your best friend, no matter how weary you are when you get back from college or school, you have to take the time to sit in God’s presence and be changed and be moved by Him. You have to stay plugged into church, stay active, be His hands and His feet. Keep your eyes on Him and don’t let anything or anyone discourage you. There is greatness inside of you, there are things that you have to offer the world that no one else has, there’s things that Heaven has written of you, there’s things that you need to whilst you’re on this earth and the only way you can do it is you remain in Him. Remain in Him. Keep your eyes on the prize, press onward for God, and remain in Him. And no, don’t tell yourself that you’re not good enough or strong enough, greater is He that lives in you and just like He said to Gideon, He is calling you, “Mighty man, mighty woman of valour”.
Dream big.
You’ll never out-dream your God.
Because He is able to do far more than you can ask or imagine.

Tamar experienced the terrible trauma of being raped. But her future was greater than her past, so she gave birth to a child who became a progenitor of our Lord Jesus. What an honour! Wounded one, you can come through this painful experience and sing the song of the overcomer. By God’s grace you can learn to live in the present and let go of the past. How? By spending time in God’s presence and allowing His love to touch the hurting places within you. Give all your secrets to God - and leave them there. He can take the misery out of the memory like you take the poison out of an insect bite; then your healing will begin. Job, who lost his health, his wealth and his family, lived to see these words fulfilled: ‘You shall forget your misery; you shall remember it as waters that pass away.’ Go ahead, stand in the stream of God’s grace and release it. Let it all go. It was night, but now it’s day! Let God hold you safely in His arms. There, you can allow the past to fall from you like a garment. You may remember it, but you won’t have to wear it any more: ‘You shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid’ (v. 19). No more pacing the floor, no more bad dreams, no more fear of tomorrow. Shame has been removed and grace enthroned. Rise up in Christ’s name and take authority over every memory that keeps you linked to the past. Allow God to heal your scars, break your chains and set you free.

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”don’t be afraid to fly, because He’ll be right by your side.
- Deuteronomy 31:6
No matter how much opposition we face on here, know this: God is in full support of what we’re doing on here. I don’t know about you, but the reason I created this blog is to spread the gospel; we have to use everything we’ve been given, and God has given us tumblr as a platform for spreading the love of Jesus. We have nothing to be ashamed of; people on here are more than content to reblog pictures of stars that they practically worship, that’s all well and good. We’re worshipping the real God, the only one worthy of worship and we have nothing to be ashamed of. So stay strong in the Lord; keep your eyes on Him, continue to run the race that is set before you. Don’t spend all your time on tumblr, give Him the throne in your life and devote time to actually learning more about this amazing God in His word, spend time on your knees, in your room, praying fervently for this generation (we need it), spend time growing in Him. Be happy, truly happy in God.
